So is Jen playing the Olympics, and is Lindsay about to retire?

Does anybody subscribe to this site: http://www.********************/ cos I am too cheap to do so, so I guess I deserve to be kept in the dark about this article!!! Seems like they got their stuff wrong though, because I don't think all those people can go to the Olympics can they? I thought somebody had to play singles and doubles? Confused!?!

Will be named to Olympic team with Williamses, Rubin, Martina, Raymond; Doesn't blame new captain Zina for Fed Cup debacle: 'I like her'

FROM WIMBLEDON Lindsay Davenport told ******************** that her aching surgically repaired right knee would likely cause her to retire soon. Davenport, who reached the third round of Wimbledon, won't play the Olympics and is looking at Wimbledon and the US Open as her last two great chances to win her fourth Slam.

Mirjana Lucic : Australian Open doubles champ and back in Top 100

Jelena Jankovic : US Open finalist 2008 and World No. 1

Jennifer Capriati : 3 Grand Slams, Olympic Gold and World No.1

I think there can be a maximum of 4 singles players and two doubles teams.

I really don't think Jen should go to the Olympics, not only because it's so close to the US Open, but because the security issues are making me really nervous.

wow. got my attention. So Capriati, Venus, Serena, Chanda, Martina and Raymond.
That is 6. Thought you could pick 4. Maybe some will be alternates?

Or is it 4 singles and 2 dubs? then this would make sense as Martina and Raymond are suppose to play the dubs together.

I's also suprised Chanda was picked, with all of her injuries. I though Meghann might be named to the team since she played many times for Fed Cup.
