Surprisingly close match considering Diyas just lost in R1 of a 15k :hysteric:

Zarina played with the right tactic - totally exposing Duan's movement. First serves are well-placed and pretty effective, especially in the first set. However, her game just isn't fully there. Many sloppy groundstrokes here and there. Could not do much on return as well.

Duan could and should have played better. Footwork is terrible today. Attacking well when given the chance, especially on her FH, but still making quite a lot errors. Serve is pretty decent, and she won quite a lot easy points from good first serves.

Both ended with a positive W/UE ratio. Diyas - 16/14, Duan - 31/11

:spit: that 15k was her 1st match since break cause of wrist injury
and?

I know  That loss was just a week ago, and given her performance today there's no way she should lose in a 15k.

5&3 is pretty ok
give her a few months and Zarina would have won that in 2 easily

The strange 10 second stare she'd do before every serve used to get me so irrationally annoyed, in the same way some people despise Konta's ball bounce. I understand it's part of her routine and ingrained, but it still always made me root against her. I'm hoping she remains on the ITF circuit so I never have to see it again.
