no chance for Venus, i think:unsure:

Venus is playing better than Muguruza though.

If Coco holds this level, I doubt Venus will get many opportunities to break. Meanwhile, Venus is really struggling to hold her serve, especially on the sunny side of the court.

Depends if Coco holds her nerves. Logic says Coco in 2. Going out on a limb: 6-4 6-4.

Playing her first AO SF in 84 years and having to face this Godzilla version of Colleen

^She isn't 1 match from winning a slam in this match either sooooo.

Venus needs to take out the trash here. I just hope she can. It's been serving and hitting very well the last two rounds. And Venus was streaky af against Pavs. Venus needs to up her level and prevent her from reaching a grand slam final. I don't know if I could handle it :tape:

One match from *potentially* winning a slam. I didn't mean to say CoCo would be guaranteed to win the title if she beats Venus in the SF.

Coco is going to murder Venus. It's not going to be pretty.
Coco will wipe Venus away like she's the Affordable Care Act
Coco in 2 easy sets 6-2; 6-2
Surprised to see Coco as the underdog here by the poll. Mark my words she will win this easily.
You people really thought that because Vandeweghe beat Kerber and Muguruza!
They thought they knew better. :oh: :wavey: Venus still shutting them down after all these years.

Hrm.

I say Queenus in 2.

Ya'll better stay under estimating that experience. And she's gonna move Coco and penetrate the court better than any of coco's opponents so far. And hit just as hard too boot.

This is a win/win situation for me .

Obviously i'll be rooting for CoCo. However, i would also be thrilled if Venus won and then took home the title on Saturday. I've said numerous times how much i respect Venus, both on and off the court. So i won't go into all the sappy details again :p

I'm honestly just hoping that both come out in peak form, firing on all cylinders. The last thing i want to see ( we ALL want to see ) are two big hitting error machines out there :p

GL to both and may the best player win! :bounce:

Oops, i almsot forgot...CoCo in a close 3 setter :p

That's seriously one crazy semifinal. No one would've expected this. Coco will be nervous for sure, so Venus definitely has a shot in this. I really can't see either of them winning this title though.

If mirjana wins, no one will ever retire haha

at least with venus she won most of her slams early in her career

^^ wtf. I'm confuse . This guy must really hate poor Coco :ras:

I hope the other half falls apart and the least in formed player flukes her way to the final. That way the winner of this match, whether it be Venus or Coco, has a better chance of winning the title. I fear for Venus though. Hopefully we will get a tight 3 setter where both players can walk away knowing that they gave their all.

Hmm. I think you guys are reading too much into CoCo's form against Kerber and Muguruza. Venus hasn't played like either of those two this tournament

I don't blame people thinking Vandeweghe will win but to suggest Venus doesn't have a chance based on Kerber and Muguruza's helplessness against her? Eh...y'all are gonna be surprised

I say Venus wins it. It'll be a good match

You might be right.

For the most part, Venus's success this past week has been in her ability to immediately break back. This is no small task against Coco - who is the strongest server she has faced in this tournament yet. While Venus's ros is superior to both Kerber and Muguruza, she can ill afford to drop the 3 or 4 service games she dropped in each of her past two matches purely because of the sun.

I understand that people do not like Colleen's behavior on court. I was once a fan (everyone made a mistake in their life) but I ditched that bandwagon after reading some of the stuffs she said.

However, she didn't reach SF by beating scrubs or that her draw fell apart. She beat THREE top 20 players which includes TWO reign GS champs in a very convincing fashion. They may not have been in their best forms, but regardless, Colleen didn't win ugly. She swatted both of them like flies. She hit more winners than her opponents and she had more winners than UEs. I don't see how this is bad for women's tennis?
