SF: (6) Konta v Bouchard

Should be a great match. I think Bouchard is starting to play herself into form I tip her to get through to the final here in a tight 3 setter

Re: SF: (6) Konta v Bouchard

If Genie plays like today then she wins it in 2. But i expect it to be competitive because no way is Genie able to keep such high level in multiple matches. So i tip her to win in 3 like in Wimbledon last year.

Genie is showing to be in a better form than Konta, in here.
I will go with Genie in 3

Hantuchova

Kasatkina. Larcher de Brito. Bencic. Ostapenko. Babos. Koehler. Muguruza.

Voted Konta in 3 but no result would surprise me with these two.

Re: SF: (6) Konta v Bouchard

I think Genie's 2014 is under rated because Petra beat her so badly at Wimbledon. She was in 2 slam semis then a final.
I think she's a top 10 talent in today's game and can win this title, maybe even the big one

Girl had one decent slam in 2014. not helped by draw falling apart....beside that ,she did nothing notable.

Re: SF: (6) Konta v Bouchard

Bouchard beat Kerber twice and Halep at majors in 2014, but she did have good draws to make runs. Back then no one saw Kerber as a slam threat and Halep looked injured in that Wimbledon SF.
I saw her beat Wozniacki as maybe her best match, in the Wuhan semi that year and I think she is very competitive with this field if Serena is not on form and Kerber is not repeating
Ryan likes this.

Re: SF: (6) Konta v Bouchard

Jo said in an interview at the end of last year, that her match against Genie at Wimbledon was her favourite of the year. So she's not going underestimate Genie but will hopefully come up with a good game plan.

I think it's going to go to three, hoping Jo will be victorious. I think Jo's aim should be to serve big and end points as quickly as possibly, approaching the net etc.

*Robson *Watson *Broady *Konta *Lisicki *Vinci *Erakovic *V Williams

Faverouite because it was centre, ocassion ect but surely not the match itself.

Looked like she wanted out of there asap after the handshake, 3rd set breadstick never nice.

I think it's probably a technique from her mental coaching, turning a huge negative into a positive. The result itself would be a huge blow for her, so she's trying to see the positives of it, that she played at a high level at Wimbledon.
