Sydney R1: Wozniacki def. Puig 63 26 64

Solid enough, BH won her the match

He looked deep into his eyes and said, "You're perfect."

"No, I'm not. But with you, I don't even care."

The best game for 2017 in no doubt! Puig hitting with much force and The Dane holding her ground and countering with many winners and 6 aces

Good match ball conversion point as well with an amazing backhand for a forehand swing finish. Scary good quality from both!!!

Puig far too aggressive. She tries to hit too many difficult winners and either hits it out or into the net. Woz, simply played her game. Kept the ball in play and let Puig win the match for her.

You did not watch this game at all to say something of this! Many winners from both sides and many tight points from the biggest moments won with winners by both girls

Strong tennis

Caroline's serve seems improved. I didn't think the early break in the 3rd would hold up, but she held with little trouble until she got down 0-30 when serving for the match. She finished with four straight points, including a couple winners.

Started watching the match from the second set and Woz looked very disinterested in it but in the third she stedied her game and played, all in all,a solid set.But she is not winning the tournament playing like this, she needs to be more focused during her matches and eliminate the up and downs in her game.

Solid performance from both although both had their bad moments in the match. It's good to see Woz beating those dangerous opponents again

Now pls honey, don't flop against Putintseva AGAIN

I watched the entire match. Puig hit more than double the amount of winners than Woz, and probably had triple the amount of UEs. Her Ace to DF ratio at one point int the third set was 7 to 11. Puig is a good player, but she played wild tennis.

Woz took virtually no risk the entire match and won. She let her opponent beat herself, which she's made a career out of.
