RG is clearly the best slam!!

Clay is easily the best surface. It kind of neutralises power and serving which imo aren't really natural talent anayway. So when extremely talented players like Dementieva, Coria, Myskina, Nalbandian and Gaudio make the semi's of slams it really is great for tennis. To see a lack of aces, 100 mph groundstrokes, and general powerful play is a pleasure to watch.

Its just a shame we have to go to Wimbeldon next, the most boring GS in the whole damn world!!

Myskina * Henin-Hardenne * Zvonerava

Davenport - Dementieva

Nah, the backhand of Gaudio is all natural, it is poweful to an extent, but nothing compared to the power hitters.

Myskina * Henin-Hardenne * Zvonerava

Davenport - Dementieva

Nobodies . Let me tell you something, Gaudio, Dementieva, Coria and some others are just as talented as most other players, but they don't have:

1. A big massive boring serve, which bores me to death watching players do that.
2. Extreme power, so much so, that if they did not have this power they would not be any good at all.

Coria et al are certainly not nobodies, its just they don't have one dimensional games which serve others so well on grass.

Myskina * Henin-Hardenne * Zvonerava

Davenport - Dementieva

Dementieva has power! Power enough to over power anybody on clay.
But I agree, clay is the best surface in terms of beauty of tennis.

Indeed, Safin and Federer are boring right.

2. Extreme power, so much so,
You mean, Dementieva's forehand power doesn't qualify as "extreme"? Mauresmo might be of different opinion and so am I.

OK, lets get it straight.. Whom do you mean as those having "one dimensional game which serve so well on grass"? Federer? Henman? Hewitt? Serena? Venus?

I , for one, think that Gaudio and Coria are as one dimensional, boring and unadventurous as it probably gets in tennis. And, God forbid, the two would meet in the finals, TV ratings of that final will almost certainly hit a record low.. Except for in Argentina, of course.

I like French Open, because it's clay and top players can slide beautifully...
I also think with slower ground make more strokes and rally which is nice to see these days...with slower path, comes greater power to accomplish points.

Wimbledon is fun to see as well...boring is the hard court (especially with this massive serves) hehehehe
