Does anyone else think that.....

Wimbledon won't raise the sisters' seedings?? I think since they lost at RG in the QF they probably won't get their seedings raised at Wimbledon. Frankly, I think they should be seeded by their actual rankings. Maybe not for Serena, but at least Venus. I would like to see Serena play from her actual rank, but she hasn't been back as long as Venus.

I've never cared about the seedings. It's Wimbledon. Venus knows what she has to do to win.

I think that Wimbledon will seed them just as WTA advices - #3 and #5.

Regardless of how they seed them, I only hope that they are on opposite sides of the draw. That seems to motivate them more than anything else!!!!

No offense to Williams' fans... but the sisters this year have proven they don't deserve the special seedings.

They don't deserve to be seeded over players who have defeated them EVERY time this year.

Now Lina which players are that?! Serena has only lost to two players...all of them on clay. Venus though...different story.

They should either go with the special seedings (3 and 5) or the real rankings. I think Venus's limit of special seedings must have run out by now, but Serena might still have a few left... I can see them seeding Serena 3 (or 2 if Kim's still out), but leaving Venus at 8 or whatever she'll be ranked after RG.

I don't want them to get special seedings, especially Venus, because they will start winning regulary again and if this happens at Wimbledon on their favorite surface, you know that people are going to complain that they should have gotten special seedings becasue we would not have met them in early rounds if the tournament did.

So you're damned if you do, damned if you don't.

Wimbledon has a tradition of bucking the rankings and seeding past champions high. I cannot imagine they would seed Serena any less than two and quite possibly No. 1, given the fact she is the two-time defending champion. Likewise, Venus will be seeded 3 or 4, and they might even bump her to two given that she has been champion and runnerup in the past four years.

It doesn't matter just as it didn't matter one way or the other @The French.

"Hatred is the coward's revenge for being intimidated" - George Bernard Shaw

"And for the best of the teen-agers who followed her, and who occasionally referred to her as over the hill, Graf had a ready answer: against top-ranked Martina Hingis, Graf wound up 7-2. Graf's stirring 4-6, 7-5, 6-2 throttling of Hingis at the French Open final this June was perhaps the most emphatic parting shot the game has ever seen. "

Funny how you don't hear most players complaining about their special seedings.
