Not much of a quality match from Jen and Serena but real exciting...

They were both struggling.... specially Serena with her forehand. She looked a bit in pain sometimes with her knee. But she was searching for answers to her game all the time.

Jen was just unbelievable in big points. She won the first set with an incredible forehand. Serena was a bit more regular in the second. And in the third Jen really attacked the ball, many times moving forward to the net. The best games were the last ones, they both picked it up. And that final point was just incredible... Jen started jumping in joy after winning the match and the empire says out, then he said the ball was in. But as Serena had touched the ball (though she had sent it to the net) they had to replay the point.

Congrats girls! Nice contest, I always knew Jennifer would win.

Did she try to "cheat" by calling the ball out on the Capster's match point?

Too bad about Serena's knee. She can only move on to the next tourney.

Good win for Jen; the American women represented while the men went home.

well, the match was tight, that forehand on set point in the 1st was INCREDIBLE, I don't think Jen played well, but she kept her nerve extremily well in the third, she has to be favourite for the title now IMO.

Women's tennis sucks.

Go Rafa.

Jenny was just money on the bp´s, while Serena struggled a bit in that department.
