I have no words, only this:

Serveborg to kick Aga out of the tournament in 2. 6-3 6-2. Karo has just been leading Aga into a false sense of security for all these years
Pliskova will double bagel Aga and send her ass running back to Poland
We cursed one of those overheads each :inlove:

Kaja! Great debut at the YEC for her! Many more to come, I'm sure. :worship:

Pliskova was Peaking for the first 6 games. Then had a break point for 5-2. Barely missed it, Aga won the game and then it all started to crumble for Karo. I think she really does have a mental block with Aga.

Aga :cheer::yeah: Played nicely. Very calm under pressure. Has made 3 straight YEC semi-finals.

We cursed one of those overheads each :inlove:
We're going to have the get all the voodoo in the world, for tomorrows match :hysteric:

She hit big winners on both break and setpoint in the 1st set. She´s doing that more often now.

Pliskova is getting her game and strategies into a better place, but her transition and net game are not at a sufficient level yet. Also her inside out forehand was a total mess. It doesn´t help that she struggles with Aga´s 1st serve. What percentage did Aga win today? 75-80% of points. No idea if that is a theme throughout their matches.

Some nervy moments in each set for Aga fans. But it's amazing how much it seems a head-to-head record can put this mental block on a player. Pliskova is playing better than ever before and was putting herself in a good place in each set but she just can't do it.

I really like that Aga seemed to stay quite calm and just rode through the bad moments. She stayed really contained when it mattered and got the rewards.

Interesting in the post-match interview she says about playing Angie: "I've got nothing to lose." It's a tennis player cliche and I don't really believe it. Yes Aga is the underdog in the sense she's playing the world #1 but she's got a ton of points to lose. I feel like Aga has been feeling the pressure of defending those this week.

It's only 555 points less than last year + she won Beijing.
She has more points than last year. No 1 or no 2 is out of reach for her.
