Can anybody tell me how the crowd responded to Venus? I am sure they were behind Mary, but did they boo her?

...very well played by venus. I love her numbers

3 Aces
4 Double Faults (acceptable)
27 winners
16 errors

well done Venus ...she served at 59% but this could have been much better if she didn't have some trouble with her last service game . Keep going Venus .

I suspected it would be pretty one sided. Mary is just too slow.

Venus had about 30 winners, 16 UFE

Venus, who has had the toughest draw, has probably looked the best

Nah, they didn't. They were cheering loudly for her in the first set by were more subdued in the second.

The crowd Booed Venus early on in the first set, for questioning a ball that was out

She then replied with a couple of errors and handed the game to Mary

The crowd acted perfectly normal not even the slightest sign of booing, they cheerd venus quite a bit. I guess you could say they cheered for Mary's winnenr a little more, but that was it. They were very respectful towards venus. I presume if thing got really tight it might have changed...

JUSTINE H-H: 39 WTA-titles and counting...!

Good luck to K-lina Sprem, Venus, Tati Golovin, Daniela, and Lena D

What I liked about this match was Venus' professionalism. She seized every little opportunity given. Played each pressure point very well. She wobbled slightly on the focus front in the 2nd set, but self-corrected almost immediately. It looks like the X factor is coming back. And that's all one can ask for from your fave.

Someone is quietly turning back the clock...to them bulldozer dayz...

Always on the lookout for a great tennis match.

Venuss been looking very very good out there at the tournament, heck shes even hitting those Pete Sampras-like smashes again!! Mary had some chances to make it closer, but waaayyyyy too many ufes....

Dont know about toughest draw, but shes looking good and her form is there.

Always bet on black!
