Stress on the Russians' names?

Flemish commentators say:

Kour-NEE-ko-va
Sha-RA-po-va

Where's the stress in Russian?

And i've got another question.
Is it KOS-tanic or Kos-TA-nic?
I always thought the first one was right but yesterday someone stressed it like the second one. So?

THat is the question. you have to know,

It is easier if you can see the name written in cyrillic (russian alfabet)

Lolas:i would bet it is KOS-ta-nic, othervise it would have been Kas - TA-nic

In Latvian the stress is always on the 1st!

there could be garumzime, unfortunately in Latvian there's not always a rule if you need it or not! That's usually the biggest proublem!
