Is Women's Tennis Getting Deeper?

Or are these losses, and near losses just due to "a bad day"
I'm really starting to think that the reason why these lower ranked players don't do well is because they don't believe in their abilities, not because they don't have any.

But whenever upsets like this happen, people don't talk about depth, they speak as if it was all because of the top player's errors. Well Justine just had a few more winners than Garbin, and Jennifer had less than her opponent.

So is tennis getting deeper, or is it just because of the top players bad day?

really? that girl Capriati played was beating her, Jen wasn't beating herself.

Justine was making errors, but Garbin was forcing the issue. Same with Venus at AO.

If the top players are on top of their games, there's no contest, honestly. But it's good to see the lesser ranked players believe in their abilities, that way they can cause an upset. Too many times we've seen top players playing badly and managing to win just beacuse the other girl had no confidence.

tennis is 95% mental when you are in the top 200.

There is no doubt Womens tennis is getting deeper every year, and this slam shows it.
