Any match featuring Wozniacki is not a dream, unless it's a nightmare. :sobbing:

I can't believe she is already 26. Time sure does fly. :bolt:

As much as I would like Naomi to win, realistically Caroline should be too tough for her -- especially if she is nervous in her first ever final.

Caroline is basically a better version of Elaine, so Naomi does have a shot... but Wozzy has been playing very well of late and I believe her consistency would prove to be a problem for Naomi.

Caroline in three sets I think, but hopefully Naomi caps off this breakthrough week with a title at home. Maybe she'll be like Kvitova and play peak level tennis in finals, who knows.

first tour final for osaka, so nerves def should play a roll here. the very moment she overcame them in her semi against the lesser pusher svitolina she was steamrolling tho, so this one could be quite similar if she somehow manages to keep calm and composed. she got the heavy artillery to blast woz off the court with ease...

Lets see if Naomi Osaka is a quick learner and doesn't repeat that nervous choke against Keys in the USO.
Just Win It !!

Naomi has been in 4 or 5 finals at ITF level and lost them all. However none of them was this year so hopefully now she's older she'll be better at managing her nerves.

I'd love to see her win her first ever title in front of her home crowd, but I have a feeling Caroline's experience will be the difference tomorrow.

They almost met in NY but Osaka couldnt finish a 5-1 set 3 lead vs Keys
I dont know how Caroline turned her year around, but younger Caroline was in a boatload of Finals, so this is nothing new. She won Tokyo & Beijing in 2010
besides the Williams sisters, who on this tour has been to more finals than Wozniacki?
She must be up to 45-50 by now, although none since she choked away 2015 Stuttgart, serving 5-3 30-15 vs Kerber & she couldnt hit a crosscourt bachand, 2 points in a row

People who dont follow tennis might say "Osaka will blow Caroline off the court". But Caroline has played all the power players. She just beat Keys. She's played Lisicki, Pliskova, Serena, Kvitova, Sharapova, Keys, Venus and almost every other power player
If Caroline plays well, she'll have her chances at this title. If she's off, people will say power blew her off the court
Lawd, we get it. You want Caroline to win

On paper, having watched Naomi this week, she has the power and accuracy to blow most people off court when her game is clicking so she can easily beat Wozniacki. It depends how her choking/nerves play a part as she has them still (she is young) as we all saw with Keys at the US Open. She just has this ability to hit winners even from a defensive position and her serve is great. She plays like Serena (but without the better movement) and she should also learn to spin her forehand better from a defensive position.

She will be Top 20 by 2017, the way she is playing. If she reaches her peak the only Top 20 players that could challenge her (at their current levels) would be Serena, Kerber, Halep, Pliskova, Venus and Keys. Bencic if she pulls herself together in the future.

Whether or not she wins this match, Naomi is the future. I'm not sure if she has the personality to be a bona-fide star. But it's OK; her tennis can do the talking.

No way Wozniacki loses to Osaka

Aggressiveniacki was on display vs. Aga and if she moves Osaka around the court, the girl won't be able to rally for anything. Woz will run down her shots that would be winners against Doi and Sasnovich and then if she stays aggressive Osaka will be a sitting duck or make an error. 62 63 at worst.

Besides, Osaka is a choker as of recent and her nerves will affect her mightily, especially since this is such a huge match for her.
