This thread is to be used for live commentary for matches, be very clear this is not a live scoring thread.
This will be used as the official thread, new threads are not to be created for each match, this will result in the closure of this thread.
Enjoy!!

Looks like Angie and Petra are not on court for at least the next 60 minutes or longer. Nadal, why so long?

Of course nadal has to pick his arse for hours and delay the night session - they've got to clear the stadium too

I want to see Angie/Kvitova
But tbf the Nadal/Pouille match is probably the most exciting match of the US open so far so it's not that bad

Over 4 hours. We should be glad, that Sevastova and Caro did it in two sets.

Lucas Pouille has such a bright future ahead of himself. So much natural talent and so much flair. Its great to see a mentally strong french together with that flair

Couldn't believe how fast he could volley some of those Rafa passes... especially in the fifth set!

The night session usually staggers into the stadium in situations like this  I've been at the USO before when the night crowd had to wait outside the stadium for the day session to end and many of them throw back a few beers and vodka shots while waiting in the bar/eating areas :haha: And yes, I did the exact thing a couple times back in the day 0

That Rafa / Pouille match was epic. All three of the men through to the Quarters so far are French.
Vive la France!
... and now to the match we've been waiting for
