K-Lina
There 's the inconsistency again
I thought she'd win easily against Conchi, because K-lina is a high speed train compared to Conchi, but the moonballs must have made her life hard I guess...
She'll learn from it, I am sure!!

JUSTINE H-H: 39 WTA-titles and counting...!

Good luck to K-lina Sprem, Venus, Tati Golovin, Daniela, and Lena D

I think thie result only shows either Sprem was hyped or Conchita proved she was still a contender on the dirt. Way to go Conchi. I have faith in you!

Well done CONCHI. Great fight back and great win.

SERENA WILLIAMS: I played her three times and twice we went to three sets, so it's definitely no easy way of playing Conchita Martinez, especially on clay. She's a clay court specialist, and you know, she's a Grand Slam champion. You can never take that lightly.... I think I had a very tough match my second round myself in this event because Conchita Martinez is a very good player, so that was definitely a tough match...

The Great Conchi defeats current Player of the Week, Sprem, 4-6, 6-4, 6-2

The Great Conchi defeated K. Sprem in three sets and moves on to the 3rd round and a close loss to Momo could even garner a Player of the Week (POW) title for Conchi in the process as well.

Congrats Conchi!
Good match (POW) Sprem

Conchita has a very different game than Venus. There is no comparison. Karolina is gaining experience with each match and learning the different styles of play. She gave good fight and I still expect her to be a force in the women's game.

Congratulations Conchita! Well done today.
