Today I met Julia Vakulenko!!!

Well, that was pretty funny...today I finished my morning shift (09 to 15) at the tourist bus where I work and went for lunch at BK and as I had like an hour left before starting my other job at an exhibition event (yeah, from 17 to 22,30 I can't believe how much I'm gonna work this shitty summer ) I went to FNAC to have a look on CD's, DVD's, books...usual stuff I like and I was listening a cool CD when this tall blonde girl stood next to me checking the very same CD I was listening to and I was just amazed to see it was actually Julia V so I ask her: You're Julia, right? and she was like: Yeeeeeees So we started talking and believe me...it's like I didn't forced her to talk at all as she was like talking and talking and talking (guess too bored ) and told me she had just arrived from Rome and she was kind of the 6th lucky loser for MD so she just came back to Barcelona. She was veeeeeeeeeeeeeery sweet and nice. Actually, from the previous times I had seen her on tournaments she looked kinda cold always with her mum and little brother not talking to any other player but now is like a new fave to me BTW, she was as glamorous as one can immagine wearing these really tight casual clothes and cap all in black

So we went down for an ice cream but by now I really had to go and she was meeting some friends so we said bye hoping to see each other at any tournament. BTW she's not sure on defending Girona but might go to $75K in Prostejov on RG's second week playing Strasbourg, RG, Birmingham, Eastbourne and Wimbly too

But I, being poor, have only my dreams
I have spread my dreams under your feet
Tread softly because you tread on my dreams

...I think I've seen that pic of Patty...it was in the files of some Yahoo group...I joined, looked at their pics, then left an hour later...I imagine Julia was surprised to be recognised, probably doesn't happen very often...

Pf Emilio you're lucky... first crazy partying with wta players in Palermo and then meeting them..... they are going to propose you for a wta job for sure...only get sure it's not in the Spanish Federation

That's great I don't think I could pick her out of a line-up.

"Hatred is the coward's revenge for being intimidated" - George Bernard Shaw

"And for the best of the teen-agers who followed her, and who occasionally referred to her as over the hill, Graf had a ready answer: against top-ranked Martina Hingis, Graf wound up 7-2. Graf's stirring 4-6, 7-5, 6-2 throttling of Hingis at the French Open final this June was perhaps the most emphatic parting shot the game has ever seen. "

BTW, Julia's a very devout Christian, and her coach runs a Christian-oriented tennis camp in France.
