I have many great memories from playing at the Rogers Cup in Montreal! Especially winning the tournament back in 2010 brings back great memories! I love the fans - and everyone who makes this tournament happen is doing an amazing job! I'm sad I am forced to withdraw from the tournament, but I can't wait to be back!
To me, retiring this week was worse because she was 3 games from a winnable QF, maybe winnable Intl
Montreal draw is pretty tough. But the seriousness of the injury is the real worry. Who injures the left arm when they're righthanded?
Anyone remember something like this ever?
I think Nadal and Wozniacki are faking it. Both are running like duracell bunnies for years and now their bodies are breaking down many times overall. But the Olympics are very important for them.
Nadal lost to unseeded Cuevas back in February 2016 in Rio when he was healthy. Before that to Thiem in Argentina. Wozniacki cheated herself to Rio so she isn't risking anything.
