Venus' QF will be tough too

she will face Patty Schnyder or Maggie Maleeva

both are very talented and very able on their day...Patty is an amazing player, and on clay can cause even the best players problems, and Maggie has a leading h2h over Venus

but i hope Venus will come through, maybe i should pull for Maggie so she can even that h2h up

whoever she plays, good luck to Ms Williams

Yep. I hope Vee plays like she did in the last 2 sets against Fabiola, but I hope she does it in straight sets.

Maggie isn't leading in the h2h!
It's tied at 2:2!

Thank God it's clay and not carpet!

If she plays the way she played against Fabiola in the last two sets
their are no worries and this is just another good challenge for her!

Good Luck Vee!

Venus is freshly warmed up and calm down for the 3rd round. That 3 setter was all she needed to get back in the loop of things.

She will just take it one match at a time. I actually think her winning these matches in the third set is good for her. By the time the French comes around she should be back in full stride.
