Capriati will win Italian Open

My prediction: Capriati will win Italian Open in a 3 set dual against a player that on paper should win.

French: She will make it to the Semis.

If I am right, I want rep points like you have never given me .....

What does everyone else predict for her?

Her nemesis will be in Rome. If she faces her it doesn't look good. To make the FO semis she would have to beat Justine, Kim, Serena, or Momo in the QF. Jen will have to be playing some serious tennis.

Not a bad plan As long as she doesn't have a run in with Eleni I don't know what it is with that girl! Clay is her surface

Knizzle my fizzle - she will get serious. Criag K helps her with a better serve and her forehand will be on fire.

I think it's the point when everyone else stops believing in her that she'll show up and show you what she's made of. (re: AO 01)

If you get it wrong, can we give you negative rep like we've never given you ?

LOL, OK. It would be nice for her to start playing to her potential.

Maybe two years ago, or around U.S. Open time last year i would've considered this, but not this year mi amigo!! Rome has always given her trouble because I believe she feels pressure to win her because she is Italian and the crowd expects a lot of her there. With the field in Italy(Serena, Kim, and Amelie mind you) I believe Jenny will find it very difficult to beat these girls(all have a mental advantage over her right now). The French Open will hopefully be stacked with talent, so Jenny will have to play unbelieveble tennis just to make it to the quarters. Good luck in Jenny trying though. I think Jenny will do the same thing Venus did and win a big tourney in the summer time(San Diego or Canada if she's playing). Jenny will come back to form by the summer. Don't worry!!

bad back, poor form, no time.

Rome - QFs
RG - 16s

Tell u what - if she looses before the QTRS of the next 3, then yes you can give me neg rep points if you so desire.

Justine is not playing until F.O.
Kim will need some time to find her good form.

Jennifer is working hard. Think she will shine

I still believe, and know what she can do when she really wants it!

I dont think your prediction is that far off at all.........Clay is a great surface for Jenny, and I think her return to top form is just taking a little longer, just like it took Venus a few tourneys to get back on top. I know she has been working really really hard on her fitness (because of the injury and knowing that she has fell a little here since 2001---plus Craig K is big advocate of top fitness---look what he did with Martina N when she transformed herself in the 80s) and that she is really wanting to make a go of it one more time since she is working with a new coach, letting outside opinions influence her game. Her game is there (we saw that at the FCC0 she just needs to get that confidence level back, and it will come.....

I think she has the potential to win the Italian Open but i predict she will go no further than the Qtrs of RG b/c of her injuries but i pray she will do well. Good Luck Jen
