Arrow Anna Kournikova in Cape Town

She arrived last week with Enrique Inglesias. Enrique is giving a concert in Bellville. Anna and Enrique were on Monday night having dinner in one of the restaurants inside the Grand West Casino. During the weekend she gave some interviews to local newspapers saying her tennis career is not over yet and this time off will be good for her to improve her game.

I'm like ready to give up on her...looks like tennis hasn't been a priority for a while now.

...she keeps talking about coming back...but every time someone sees her she's not working her butt off on court or on gym.

This is an interview from news24.co.za:

Cape Town - Spanish singing sensation Enrique Iglesias, 29, and blonde tennis star, Anna Kournikova, 22, arrived in the Mother City on Sunday.

The two were hand-in-hand when they arrived at Cape Town's international airport on board the heart-throb's private jet, despite rumours that they split a while ago.

Kournikova was also sporting what looked like an engagement ring.

Iglesias, the son of crooner Julio Iglesias, will perform at the Bellville Velodrome on Tuesday. It forms part of his world tour to promote his latest album, Seven.

Kournikova, clad in denims and a black jacket, stood shyly behind Iglesias while listening to a children's choir of the Unite Against Hunger organisation.

The glamour couple sped off in a 4x4 without waving or saying a word to a handful of supporters waiting outside the reception hall for VIP's.

The two will apparently stay at the Mount Nelson Hotel during their visit to the Mother City.

Lara Cohen from tour promoters, Big Concerts, did not want to say if the couple were going to visit tourist attractions or other places of interest on Monday.

Cohen said the two didn't have any special requests. "They didn't ask for anything unusual or out of the ordinary," she said.

According to Cohen, a group of about 30 dancers and musicians will appear on stage with Iglesias on Tuesday evening.

"The tickets for the show are selling like hot cakes. We're expecting that all tickets will be sold out by tomorrow." The Bellville Velodrome can accommodate about 8 000 people.

some more news:

Anna set to marry Enrique

Sexy tennis celebrity Anna Kournikova is reportedly set to marry her Latin heartthrob Enrique Iglesias.

That's according to her 66-year-old granny, who told the Sunday Mirror that the lovebirds had sought her blessing for the nuptials.

Anna and her singing beau reportedly visited the Kournikova matriarch, also called Anna, at her Moscow flat last week.

She said: "We'll hear wedding bells soon. Enrique is a good match for Anna.

"I found him a very charming boy...he's got very unaffected manners, so it was a real pleasure to see him at our flat."

But the retired factory worker wasn't all smiles about the love match, chiding her famous granddaughter for "living in sin".

"It's a shame they're not married yet," she told the newspaper, "but young people don't want to follow our traditions."

The pair met when Anna, 22, starred in a video for 28-year-old Enrique's 2002 single Escape.

Last year, the lovebirds were forced to deny a secret wedding after Anna was reportedly spotted wearing a ring on her wedding finger.

Iglesias recently shelled out 3m on a diamond ring for his pin-up girl while on tour in Australia in March. The couple arrived in Cape Town on Sunday for the South African leg of his world tour. Iglesias will perform on Tuesday in the Mother City.

Improve her game? What a joke? The only way to improve her game is to get her butt back on a tennis court and practice, not follow her boyfriend around 24/7. Who is she trying to kid?

Well said apoet. It's time Anna focused on her career instead of her boyfriends career.

Happiness is like a cat. If you try to coax it or call it, it will avoid you. It will never come. But if you pay no attention to it and go about your business, you'll find it rubbing up against your legs and jumping into your lap. - William Bennett

I had no problem with taking a break, but now it's totally over the top.
She has been talking about her comeback for quite some time, but there 's no sign of her training or playing tennis...
Come on anna, there more in life than your boyfriend

It's sad to see that beautiful, talented girl follow after Enrique all over the place when he shows her so little respect. I wish Anna would dump him and concentrate on her own life but with her parents suing her she must feel like she needs his support.

He better at least let her sing that duet with him!

How do you know he treats her with no respect?

Blah, blah, blah...

Shouldn't Anna have her own reality show so we can be updated on these important issues?
