VENUS may have more CLAY COURT victries than JHH by May 2

According to the current ITF records JHH has 66 clay court wins and VENUS has 63 dirt court victories.

How ironic, VENUS may have more clay court victories than a clay court mistress in less about a week.

Good to see that the goddess has acquired an all court game.

And Venus has been on tour how much longer?

You know who puts them all to shame? Silvia Farina Elia with 143

In this case you can't compare the two, especially with the number of years played on the tour...I guess a better indication is what titles on clay they have won...I think that about sums it up.

Yes, its great to see Venus winning again...but its all put up or shut up when it comes to the French Open...ask Amelie for the past x amount of years

She's been on the TOUR (lengthwise) a lot longer, BUT, Justine has played a LOT more tournaments and matches on the clay.

Sounds like you're making an assumption...

Can you provide any ACTUAL STATISTICS to back that up?

For example, how about posting each player's Win/Loss record on clay?

Justine has played only 1 more match on clay than Venus. Justine is 66-14 or 82.5%. Venus is 63-16 or 79.7%.

Justine has 5 clay titles. 1 tier 4, 3 tier 1, and 1 RG

Venus has 5 clay titles. 2 tier 1 and 3 tier 2.

...and how convenient of you to bring this tidbit up just when it looks like Venus might overtake Justine in this statistic (and not a moment sooner).

Hey, how many clay wins does Serena have? It's probably less than Venus and JHH, but guess what, Serena and JHH both have French Open titles....does Venus?

Not necessarily. Justine probably has played several more clay court tournaments than Venus. Plus she accumulated her matches over a shorter period of time than Venus. On average she played on clay alot more than Venus.

SERENA has 49 wins and VENUS will soon have her first RG title by the end of May.

May 2005 or 2006? j/k

I hope venus can kick ass at the FO but don't jinx her like that. Unless she meets Monica of course.
