Exclamation

If Venus is healthy (and she is playing like she is), I don't see anyone stopping her en route to the final, including Schiavone, who almost beat her in the semifinal.

Vera would be Venus' big challenge, but if Patty is mentally there she could also hurt Venus.

Lindsay Davenport|Elena Bovina|Marissa Irvin|Tatiana Golovin|Mary Pierce|Sesil Karatantcheva|Cara Black|Clarisa Fernandez

Venus will have a fun draw. Possible Patty in the QF and Vera in the semis and Momo in the final.

ITA!

She'll be challeneged, no doubt!
However, the fact that she is playing so well at the moment
and is doing things well at Fed Cup on the red clay I think she'll
be fine.

Her serve and forehand is really working well for her,
two things that betrayed her against Vera at RG last year.

Good Luck Venus!!!

Tougher draw for Venus, but I don't mind that. She won at the FCC with a tough quarterfinal, and a tough final, but she won. I want it to be a Amelie-Venus final, and one where neither player gets injured!! GO VENUS!!

QF projections:

Mauresmo vs. Suarez
Kuznetsova vs. Farina Elia

Zvonareva vs. Pistolesi (again??)
Williams vs. Schnyder

Interesting potential 2nd round matchups:

Mauresmo vs. Danilidou
Zvonareva vs. Schiavone
Kuznetsova vs. Douchevina
