Top Eight Seeds for J&S

1. MAURESMO - Will she play?
2. WILLIAMS V - Will green form hold on red?
3. ZVONAREVA - Did she learn anything last week?
4. KUZNETSOVA - Wanna see her play Venus
5. SUAREZ Paola - Needs to make a move NOW if she wants top ten this year
6. FARINA-ELIA - Is this as good as she is?
7. SCHNYDER - Has she lost her mind, or is this lingering orange juice toxicity?
8. SMASHNOVA-PISTOLESI - L'petit Israeli has heart, but like SFE, we gotta aks if she's maxed her potential.

More later.

Not blind. Not uninformed. We are party to atrocities. But the response of the world after 9/11 is worth noting. Even our most dire enemies offered aid. We should all be so lucky.

Venus seeded #2 Vera needs a SF to become top 10, while Venus cannot make top 10 this week yet. Good luck to either player. PAOLA is the one I'll be keeping my eyes on

i think the whole patty/orange juice link has lost it's comedic edge. i don't really see how she has lost her mind either. she went nuts at an annoying player, i don't see what that has to do with her chances in warsaw.

Do you think tennis is completely devoid of players who deliberatly try to get into an opponent's head? Some players do things like take bathroom breaks to disrupt an opponent's rhythm. That kind of player KNOWS it will work on Patty. She's one of the easiest player's on tour to throw off her game using underhanded tactics. Of course that affects her chances of winning. Conshi wasn't even trying. That's just how Conchi plays. IMagine her against a player who deliberately kept putting up their hand, saying they weren't ready, making services tosses and catching them and stretching out the time between games.

It's never, ever good for your opponents to know you're easily upset.

Don't her Bol points come off this week? I don't think making the semis will be enough to pass Ai.

It's holding up on the red clay courts
of Slovenia! So, if Vee sticks to her game plan,
maintains her confidence, and stays injury-free
I think she'll be hard to beat but she will indeed
be challenged and I think she's up for it!

Go Venus!
