It's worth it if you have broadband internet and your Internet provider supports X-box live. Playing online is where the depth of the game really comes out.

wait, does that mean I have to call my broadband company to find out??

I have to wait freakin 1 hour before the music stops and a human picks up...

But how does X-Box live work??

U connect ur modem to ur X-Box as if it were a computer?
Then what from there?

You shouldn't have to call your cable company, just check the X-box live website or your cable company's website and it should be one of those two places.

X-box live works just like you say. You can sign up for it through your X-box system. You need a credit or debit card though.

Yes it costs extra, I think it's 5.95 a month, but if you buy the game new then you will get 2 months free inside the box.

hmmm, I've been doing some calculations, and to buy the xbox, the the "top spin" game, then the xbox live kit, plus 6 bucks a month, that comes up to ALOT of money!

You don't HAVE to buy the x-box live kit. It's not required for X-box live to work. The live kit comes with a headset to communicate online and 1 year of x-box live service which means you won't have to pay the 5.95 a month for a year.

It's a really great game even without the 'Online' mode.

I won an xbox with 2 games and 2 free months of xbox live.

I bought topspin, and I like it alot but I don't think I will go live.

Anyways, here's a link to a free Xbox nation magazine, could give some useful tips while game playing, U.S. residents only:

These magazine do come.

If you arent going live and if you are just playing the computer in Exhibition mode lets say, do players actually play like they do in real life? Like does Hewitt play like Hewitt in real life and Anna like Anna in real life? I hate it in like Tennis 2k2 when Serena is made out to like Navratilova

azarenka - pavlyuchenkova - li - jankovic
garcia - bencic - paszek - rus - kanepi - kuznetsova - stephens
bouchard - karatantcheva - larcher de brito - voegele - lim - mladenovic

mary pierce - forever #1
vaidisova - kournikova - golovin - henin
the boys - federer - gasquet - del potro - haase - nishikori

Hey, I've bought Top Spin two weeks ago, and it's really an amazing game! I've subscribed to XBOX live last week but it looks like there's hardly anyone online for women's tennis...

I've tried last night (so it was Friday evening in the USA) and nobody was there, and I found one person this afternoon to play an exhibition match (BTW I lost badly against Kim Clijsters, shame on me lol)

Yes, Hewitt plays like Hewitt, but they made him a bit too powerful. Same with Hingis.
