tomorrow i will become a "double bagled" boy

tomorrow i will play in County-Championships
it is the first time i take place, and you don愒 need to qualify for it.

each year just 14-16 players sign in. and our club-president said he would be happy if few guys from our club would play.
so me and 3 other guys from my club signed in.

the whole week i was looking forward until the draw is finally out, because i knowed there are few other weak players in the draw (like me)
and i was full of hope to get one of them.
this morning i opened the sport-part of the local newspaper and there was the draw. i have to play #1 seed and defending champion, and a small-report said he is top-favorit again.
he and his team is playing 4 or 5 devisions higher then me and my team
and so i hope i can win at least 1 game.
all i hope is i can hit few good balls, and then my Nancy/Dewonder-Spirit will help me to survive.

i will report about my match tomorrow, here in this thread

wish me luck, i will need it.

Something was bound to go right sometime today, All these broken pieces fit together to make a perfect picture of us
It got cold and then dark so suddenly and rained, It rained so hard the two of us were the only thing
That we could see for miles and miles
And in the middle of the flood I felt my worth, When you held onto me like I was your little life raft
Please know that you were mine as well
Drops of water hit the ground like God's own tears
And spread out into shapes like Salad bowls and basins and buckets for bailing out the flood

good luck Matthias, have fun and enjoy it no matter what happens

"Religion has actually convinced people that there is an invisible man living in the sky who watches everything you do, every minute of every day. And the invisible man has a special list of ten things he does not want you to do. Any if you do any of these ten things, he has a special place, full of fire and smoke and burning and torture and anguish, where he will send you to live and suffer and burn and choke and scream and cry forever and ever 'til the end of time!

But he loves you."

Best of luck!

Its never over till its over!

But the odds don't sound good from what youre saying, so why not take a tip from the pros.......

get a conchi regimen going before each point and take like 10 minutes before each serve , drive your opponent mad. Or failing that, maybe do a patty thing and start hiding the balls in your clothes till there are none left and they have to declare a draw

Good luck!

Hmm, naughty advice but just might work. You should seriously consider it. I know I would get distracted by that.

Bounce bounce, tap tap, more bounces and more taps....oh, may 3 more on the left one just make it more luck.

LOL

Justine Henin

Thank you.

Matthias

LOL the same happened to me last year. Played Kreismeisterschaften (you too?), won a round and then played the top-seed and lost 0-6 0-6. Had a few game-points though.
But I hit my best backhand ever in that match. Screaming DTL winner.

But they usually have a B-field for the weak players. I have reached the final there before so maybe I will play that one again this year.

I know that. I played "Kreismeisterschaften" as well last year and had much luck with the draw so I could reach the semis without facing a seeded player. This year I will be seeded but I won愒 survive because I already withdrew from my prepare tournament where i was the defending champ in the semis..... I hope to win one or two matches!

I played the "Verbandsmeister" this winter and thought "Just one game please". But I had my best day ever and played some unbelievable shots to fall 6-7, 3-6 on my preferred surface. OK, he didn愒 play well but I kept fighting and this is what u should do as well. U are not expected to win, so don愒 put any pressure on u. I had it in the first set as I got one set point, but after that I still concentrated and never gave up! Don愒 d this mate and I惴 sure u won愒 get double-bagelled.

Viel Glck und du packst das Kumpel!

FLAVIA PENNETTA

US OPEN CHAMPION 2015

Thank you for all these moments over the last years! Supported you until your final point!

hmm this happened to me matthias!...im really good though, im usually seeded highly but when i was playing someone that was like PRO.....the best thing like they said to do is confuse and keep him guessing....he likes to hit his shots so dont let him...take ALL ur time.....mix it up...hard, slice, moonball....and always go for ur chances......after u feel he is dazed u play ur game and focus on winning

I've never been double-bagled before. Years ago, I did lose my second match ever 1-6 0-6, after breaking for the first game of the match.

Good luck.

I see a lot of underhanded serves in your future
I can recall two occasions where I won 1 point in a match, but I was a good player, I just wasn't good on big points. It's been 2 years since then, and I beat those guys now on the regular. So, don't be afraid to lose love and love, let it motivate you to get better and compete better with these guys in the future. Good Luck!!
