Clijsters to play Fed Cup against Croatia

BRUSSELS, Belgium (AP) -- Kim Clijsters
' injured left wrist has healed enough to allow her to play for Belgium against Croatia in this weekend's Fed Cup.
The second-ranked Clijsters had been sidelined for five weeks and her availability is a big boost for Belgium, which is without top-ranked Justine Henin-Hardenne
, who is recovering from an energy-sapping virus.
Belgium, the 2001 champion, would have been in a tough position in the first round of the world group without both stars.

She is expected to play with a wrist brace. Because she has a two-fisted backhand, both wrists are essential to her game.
``I'll be a little bit hesitant in the beginning, but I will definitely go for it,'' she said Friday.
Clijsters injured her left wrist last month and kept it in a brace until last weekend when she played a charity match against fiancee Lleyton Hewitt
Kirsten Flipkens will play the second match against Croatia's Karolina Sprem. Reverse singles and possible doubles are set for Sunday.
