Henin will NOT play before Roland Garros

Her official site announces Justine will not play a single match before RG.
This implies she takes 6 weeks of total rest.

If she feels ok, she'll try to defend her RGtitle.

So, we're seriously looking more at WIMBLEDON? right?

I don't know
I do know you do not want to be in the shoes of 'someone from Justine's entourage' right now.
I mean, they went on a 10day holiday and she already became restless and eager to get on the court.
Now, she is looking forward to playing on her favourite surface, 'close' to home, and she has to saty sidelined for 6 weeks ...

pfff
courage, Justine!!!!!

Hopefully she will resume training before Roland Garros! It's still far away from now, she may be fully fit by then...
If she competes, she'll definitely be the one to watch, even without match practice!

Your right Pigam, she'll go stir crazy not playing tennis. I guess
they might just do alot of training on clay instead of making
a public appearance at a pre-RG event under the media scrutiny.

Oh...well. All I want is to see her feeling fantastic, raring to go-and
playing like the Evil tennis genius we know and love. If she's not
really mentally at an event (like DOHA) then it doesn't matter if
she's playing because she'll not be focused anyway. We'll just
have to let Justine and Company make the decisions they feel
comfortable with. Gut instincts as we Americans like to say.
It's worked pretty well so far...

I dont have the exact figures, but Justine has MASSES of points to defend on clay, so not playing is going to bring the others much closer to her if they play, even if they dont knock her off No 1 yet ..............

Patiently waiting to join the silver surfers

Knizzle did the math already. Something around 1596 points loss;but
she's got like 7,200 now and the only person that can become number
1 is if KIM wins RG and Justine doesn't play or loses very early.
Amelie is number 3 and she's only got like ranking points in about 3500 right now.

Let's see when I had Mono I was in bed for 2 weeks, then 2 weeks of TONS of NAPS and low impact physical training. It wasn't until the third week AFTER my White Blood Cell Count fell that I was finally back into Tennis Shape.

BEST OF LUCK TO JHH IN HER RECOVERY!
