How come today's teen stars aren't as muscular as Serena was?

I mean at 17, Serena was already very muscular! When you watch today's teen stars (Golovin, Sharapova...) they all look slim & thin, nowhere near as muscular as Serena was. It surprises me that Serena already had so many muscles at that time! At what age did she start bodybuilding?

she never did bodybuilding

it's in her genes...she was always muscular and then she started playing tennis

she's more muscular than Sharapova etc because of her body shape/structure and ethnic group

There is a 17 year old girl from Russia named Irina Kotkina who my gosh is the best looking and in shape Junior I think I have seen since Serena at that age.

She had won a Junior tournament in South America during the Nasdaq and she made the poor girl, Alex Wozniak, she beat in the final look like she needed to go on a serious diet.

TheBoiledEgg says we will be hearing from this girl soon.....

The good lord just decided to give Serena the perfect body. If Michaelangelo had sculpted a tennis player, he's have created Serena.

And remember, it's appearance. It doesn't make a BETTER tennis player. It just makes her look REAL good doing it. Venus isn't as mucular as Serena either. Neither is Lindsay. Both of them hit just hard. Justine's a twig, and SHE generates almost as much pace. Some folks are just lucky. Thin k maat Safin. He's a building.

If you think it is possible for anybody to be born with the muscles Serena has, then you're really :retard: . Off course she had the potential from the beginning, but it needs to be developped. Don't tell me Serena never lift weights in her teenage years

Whatever GM crap

There's 'body building', and there's 'exercise'. Serena has done strength training most of her life. Almost the exact same regimen as Venus. But individual geneitcs yield different results. Obviously, if she were a couch potatoe, she wouldn't look like that.

and if you think lifting weights is the same as bodybuilding, you're seriously :retard:ed too

put it this way, you take any one of many black young girls, and make them do sport, they get big muscles. they don't need to bench-press more weight than men to get them, k?

You mean like Venus or Chanda?

Where's your evidence for thei racial muscularity theory? I've never heard that one.

The only women I've ever eseen outside the body-building world with muscles like Serena is Jackie Joyner Kersee. And since she was only the greatest female athlete in history, she's hardly a good example.

I think it's partly her skin color that made her muscles stand out more than it was supposed to. I don't think she had too much more musles than other 17 year-old players.
