On Sunday, April 25 at 9PM (ET/PT) on Lifetime Television, get ready to see Serena in a whole new role as she guest stars on the popular television series “The Division.” “I am such a fan of Lifetime,” said Williams. “I love the movies for women, and my favorite television show is ‘The Golden Girls.’ Working on ‘The Division’ is a dream come true.”

The show is based on San Francisco police investigators trying to balance their personal lives with the demands of working some of the city’s toughest streets. Williams plays a young woman, Jennifer Davis, who is reunited with her family after missing for almost 20 years. In the episode a man is found dead in the Davis’ neighborhood. As the pieces of the investigation come together, the Division discovers the dead man was part of a scheme to defraud the Davis family.

Kelly Goode, Senior Vice President, Programming says, “Lifetime is proud to welcome Serena to ‘The Division.’ We think this is an exciting role for her and an opportunity for our audience to see this unbelievable athlete in a new light.” While tennis remains her first love, Serena also enjoys acting. She has appeared on “The Simpsons,” “My Wife and Kids,” “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” and is currently preparing to make her feature film debut in “Beauty Shop.”

“The Division” is produced by Viacom Productions for LIFETIME Television. Deborah Joy LeVine is the creator and executive producer, and Aaron Lipstadt is executive producer. LIFETIME is the leader in women's television and one of the top-rated basic cable television networks. A diverse, multi-media company, LIFETIME is committed to offering the highest quality entertainment and information programming, and advocating a wide range of issues affecting women and their families.
