Would you rather...

would you rather be a good person and not win a slam (ala Kim) or a person who everyone disliked but won a lot of slams?

hmmm, just because everyone dislikes you doesn't mean you're not a good person? Also doesn't mean you can't become a good person after you retire. So I might have to go with the second cause you sure can't live your life for others approval. People can like you today and hate you tomorrow or vice versa so I'll go with the success I think as long as I like myself.

Once Kim starts winning majors, people will start disliking her. Give me the big trophies and the big money!

people already dislike her... I know she's not one of my favorites.

Sometimes being too nice is unappealing as well.

To me the object of competing in sports is to achieve the highest accolades in sports, and be the best. If you are not willing to strive to that then there is no need for you to compete. Sometimes your talent and your game may be a limitation, but your drive and desire should never be. Once you lost the desire to compete then you should retire. Also as Rockie so elequently stated, just cause you are not popular and well liked does not mean you are not a good person.

I am not conceited, I am just convinced
