Wink If Justine and Serena were to meet next week...

Justine would win.

Yes it's good to see Serena back and it's terrific that after such a long lay-off she came back and won a tourny with a weak field. it's good to see her winning again. but i gotta admit that she is no where near her best form.

right now Justine is fitter, lighter on her feet, and more confident in her game. i give her the edge in any head-to-head that happens within the next few weeks. after that let's see.

Your probably right, but don't count out Serena with her warrior spirit and her fight. She may not win, but she'll sure make Henin take it. Henin is a very good player who has dominated the tour all year, the pressure is on her to win the tournement, and I guess will just wait to see if she can win it. If she wins thats great or if Serena wins thats great too.

You're probably right. I think Justine would be too consistent for Serena and would be able to wear her down. But neither player has reached the final yet and they both have strong opposition before they make it that far.

I guess only time will tell...Serena was pretty impressive being that she was out for 8 months. Dementieva had beated justine not too long ago...and Serena practically steamrolled her this weekend. It would be close...if Justine beat her...she wouldn't beat her in str8 sets and it would be very close....

Venus and Serena ....Often imitated NEVER duplicated!!!!!!!

I think Serena would lose in one tight set, and a relatively easy one. I think she could have a shot at Charleston, but not next week.

I think you're right when you say that Serena still has some work to do, to get back to the form she had one year ago... Still, I don't think we can totally count her out because one quality she has without a doubt is the ability to raise the level of her game when it becomes necessary, when she faces a tougher opponent... As a matter of fact when your opponent can't hold serve ONE single time in a Tier I final... well, you can do with a slightly lower level of game

But then again, so were people saying of her come-back at Nasdaq too...she ain´t winning, this and that. Guess what happened?!

Justine will win
The only real ''top'' player Serena beat in Miami was Elena, can she beat several top players to win Amelia Island? Nadia, Lindsay, Justine
She could reach the final, but Justine on clay... too strong
