Next week: Navratilova def. Serena 6-4, 4-0 ret.

It will happen.

Navratilova is winning grandslams and titles in doubles right now, she's also used to returning big serves in mixed doubles, she even recently beat Monica in an exhibition. Yeah Monica was not in top form but still, it's a nice win.

Also, add the fact that the clay will slow down Serena's serve and groundstrokes, that it will give more time for Navratilova to get to the balls, and the most important fact which is that Navratilova has all the shots in the game and could drive Serena crazy with her drop shots, relentless net attacks (something that Serena has never faced), slice shots, top spin, variety, add also the fact that Navratilova has a lot of experience. And there you have it, a Navratilova win.

just one problem. martina would have trouble winning points vs. serena in singles. there is a huge difference between singles and doubles.

ugh, why do they all suck????????

I think that with all the junk shots that Navratilova will come up with especially those slice shots, plus her relentless net game that Serena isn't used to facing, Serena will do a LOT of errors. However if it was a faster court, then Serena would blow her off the court. But on clay, it will be different.

Don't underestimate Navratilova's wicked lefty serve. If it was so pathetic, she wouldn't win grandslams in doubles, definitely not in mixed.

If Serena lose to Martina go away Navravtilova in singles then Serena needs to retire.

"I told her, `You don't want to get into a hitting battle with Sharapova, because it would be uneven for Sharapova, because Sharapova only has one good side and that's her backhand,"'. "`You don't want to get into that for the simple reason you would win. So try to hit some balls to her strong side, to her backhand, and that would help you with your match for tomorrow
