i was reading the thread in wzoniaki and sharapovas appearance at the Met Gala in New York and it was quite entertaining.
However On a serious note....does anyone find it in really bad taste that Sharapova is making such public appearances at these A List events during a period where she is under investigation for illegal use of performance enhancing drugs, which has brought the sport of tennis into one of the cloudiest periods in its history?
While WTA players are grinding out matches on the clay in Madrid to empty stadiums, she is swanning around no doubt looking for a selfie with miscellaneous Jenner/kardashian members and swigging free champagne with celebrities?? And being completely brazen about it on social media?
I find it leaves a horrible taste in the mouth, and Sharapova seems to show to Shame, or even decency to the players and the organisation to which she owes her career and her millions and without whom she would never have been in a position to be invited to one of these events.
She should lay low until her case has been dealt with.

She is a celeb nowadays, though she rose from lowly origins, and can actually afford to buy champagne. I think she is trying to say that she has nothing to be ashamed of, but that is debatable.
Why shouldnt she go? This is not an honor roll. Its a celeb event loaded with drug users.
Anyway, Wozniacki & Sharapova going is good for the WTA. Extra news besides Tig rolling in Madrid

The woman has no shame. Things like this and posting a million selfies, it's like she's being deliberately defiant and saying she doesn't care what she's done. Disgraceful.
No-one's saying she should lock herself in her house but she should have the sense to lay low and avoid such overtly public appearances until her ban is decided.

I don't like Sugarpova either. She's clearly shameless, but I don't understand why that's a problem. This coincides with everything she's shown everyone in the past. The girl has 0 fear in her personal life or in tennis. It actually makes her look genuine to me.
The world could use more people like her. She's an idiot for cheating. But, people are so used to following societal norms about how one SHOULD act.
Honestly, not a fan of that dress for Maria. I also don't understand everyone who has an issue with Maria attending this event. She is banned from tennis, not from life. What is she supposed to do, sit in a corner and cry all day long?
