British Sport commentators are not amused

That sounds like Sam Smith :spit:

... I was watching some football while I waited for the presentation to actually start.

Cirque du Soleil trapeze-style stuff, lots of stretchy positions in the air on ribbons, images of unicorns and hearts, lots of tennis balls, then an awkward synchronized dance to Beyonce's "Girls"...a solid 15 minutes and then another 10-15 minutes of sponsor and tournament speeches...now skanks in weird outfits are finally awarding the trophies.

much much better. There were some really good 3d projections and stuff and the dancers were amazing

Honestly I dont mind if they throw some spectacles here and there for the trophy ceremony. It really lives up the tournament.
ATP started it with Doha early January, and now St. Petey. Maybe this will become a norm in the near future
Yes, I remember that now. The British Eurosport commentators (Simon Reed and Frew McMillan) were somewhat bemused.

Not to my personal taste but appreciate the effort which was 10/10. For that, and the better than average WTA crowds attendance, this event deserves to continue next year IMO.

It was certainly a lot better than waiting for ages for the presentation ceremony to start with nothing happening, which is what usually happens. When the show finished the players were already out in the middle and they were ready to start the presentation. It was well organised.

The important thing is that it doesn't end up upstaging the trophy presentation.
