Re: St. Petersburg QF: Kasatkina def. Cibulkova 6-4 5-7 6-3
Dasha
the choke in the 2nd set though
lol @ the interviewer. Dasha said she will fight hard tomorrow and he translated "she'll be struggling hard tomorrow". Hopefully he didn't jinx her

Re: St. Petersburg QF: Kasatkina def. Cibulkova 6-4 5-7 6-3
Kasatkina actually looked really good. I still wonder had Myskina chosen her over Makarova in the first day and Kuzzy in the second day, maybe the outcome could be different...
Cibulkova had no business losing that second set after coming back from 2-5 to 5-5 (*30-0) and saving 5 set points. That was her time to go in for the kill but she pulled back.
Stats says she had 18UE but should really add the other 50+ completely nonsense moonballs and slices that almost costed her the match. Pomenika had so many easy balls to blast left and right because of this.
Not to mention Dasha basically stopped doing anything so many times she had the upperhand in a game or a set, it is infuriating. Within a blink she went from a decent player to a moonballign hack. She needs to sort out these, i dont think experience alone will make this really go away.
But after all of this, she is really exciting.
Cant see much chance in SF, still has doubles, she'll be dead tired.
