They got nothing from Timea and still won! This is going to be a champion team. Maybe not this year, but they will win a few with Bencic, Timea & Hingis in doubles

Switzerland has a really good team overall w/ Hingis and Bencic so it's not that bad of a loss. I'm actually glad these players do not have to play Fed Cup this year any longer so we can focus on singles and Olympics. They ALL (minus Petko) had amazing runs at the Australian Open so they are not that energized. Kerber had no time, Annika performed well, and Andrea well...she could have upped her game but she is so off right now. I think Anna-Lena Friedsam should have almost replaced Petko.

ALG's game still consists of pure power, just like it did when she played singles. There were days when she was incredibly awesome at it and then there are days like today when she plays like a junior.

I'm glad Martina won today. Who knows, maybe she has a shot at a Golden Slam this year ;).

Groenefeld is such a cow, just big and slow. Surely the only reason she's still on the FC team is because they feel sorry for her? Is she like the mascot of Germany that needs to always sit on the bench?

Kerber/Petko/Goerges would all make a better team with each other than this cow in the mix. And yes, it's been like that for years. Even Lisicki will do a better job than her.
