Unhappy "Possible" Top Four Withdrawl From Dubai

I say this because the main draw was supposed to be out this morning NY time and will not be available until tomorrow due to a "technical problem" and according to someone in the know in the Dubai tournament section, that means that a top seed has withdrawn. The only players that could have caused the draw to be delayed are Justine and Venus because if Justine withdrew, then Venus would be the top seed and put in the top half of the draw. If it was Venus, then Jennifer would be the number two seed and head the bottom half of the draw. If it is both of them, then the whole draw is fucked up, but we will probably know sometine this afternoon who it is.

Apparently, it will be Anastasia Myskina.

well, if the worst happens and all the top three fail to show, at least they'll have one top 10 player in the draw

though I heard Jennifer was heading to Dubai so she's probably certain to play.

And according to reports I read, Venus is already there, so I wouldn't be surprised to hear that Justine withdrew because she has bronchitis and that isn't something you get over in a week. My sister had it when she was younger and she was out of school for three weeks.

So I suspect both Justine and Venus are out.
The only way that could happen is if Serena decides not to play (and between you and me, I don't think she is going to play) since she is entered to play at Doha.

Venus rarely plays 2 weeks in a row, other wise Doha, a field as weak as tier II can get, would be the perfect tournament for her to slaughter everyone, assuming Serena doesnt play of course with Nastya leading the way.

I an holding out hope that she and Venus will play IW just this year only and then not go back because they both need the match play.

I think it's weird that they haven't put out a press release about who has withdrawn. It's unfair to the fans who might be buying tickets to see the player who has pulled out.

I'm not sure who the player will be, but I'm guessing Justine or Venus. Jennifer usually pulls out of tournaments by the Friday before the draw, so I think she would have pulled out by now. On the other hand, she was spotted at a Chicago nightclub a few days ago, and I'm not sure if Jen would do that right before a tournament (picturing George Steinbrenner yelling at Derek Jeter now......)

No matter who the player is, it's not going to suprise anyone.
