Venus and Serena have ushered in a new breed of fans

Before these women started to dominate tennis how many other players errors were consistantly cheered, tournament after tournament state to state, country to country?

"Hatred is the coward's revenge for being intimidated" - George Bernard Shaw

"And for the best of the teen-agers who followed her, and who occasionally referred to her as over the hill, Graf had a ready answer: against top-ranked Martina Hingis, Graf wound up 7-2. Graf's stirring 4-6, 7-5, 6-2 throttling of Hingis at the French Open final this June was perhaps the most emphatic parting shot the game has ever seen. "

Da Forehand,

Good luck my brotha, I've given up trying to convince white people that racism STILL exists, and the tennis courts have not been spared.

They weren't booed at Wimbledon, plus I think it is unhealthy to constantly victimise black ppl. Clearly it is a testament to their character that in spite of some hostility and possible racism that they managed to rise to the top of their game.
