What ever happened to forgotten No. 1 Belgian.....

........Sandra Wasserman? She is only 34 today but she disappeared from tennis nearly 10 years ago. So What happened?

She has wins over both her peers, Sabine Applemans and Domique Monami and her biggest career wins were over Natasha Zvereva, Natalie Tauziat and Silvia Farina Elia and she made it to the third round of a half dozen Grand Slams.

I have never seen her play but saw her scores in the papers all the time. So how come she never had a bigger career?

If anyone knows what happened thanks!!!

OMG I have to be honest I have never heard of her

It doesn't help that no one talks about her anymore.

She had a relatively short career, I would say 6 or 7 years and then she disappeared I think after 1994.

Hi,

For those who can read Dutch and French here is a link to a Wassermans bio. Or maybe you know someone to translate it for you.

I used to play in the same tennisclub as Sandra Wasserman, I adored her when I was a small kid. I heard she got maried and moved to IsraŽl where she leads a tennisschool, maybe someone can confirm this here.
