I was scared shitless today....

At tennis practice today I was jumping up to try to hit an overhead (which I missed ) and when I was jumping I felt a muscle being pulled in my stomach and it hurt a lot....and the first thing I thought about was Venus and her abdominal strain.

Fortunately for me the pain went away after a couple minutes, so apparently it wasn't too serious, but for a minute I was seriously worried!

At least you didn't land on your ankle. Which I did two weeks ago!

Ouch....I once hurt my ankle when playing tennis....well actually it was in-between games and I was walking out on the grass to turn on the lights, and I twisted my ankle in a hole in the ground.....now that sucks......not even playing and I get an ankle injury

Aside from some minor arm tendonitis many years ago... I've actually never had a serious tennis injury.... Thankfully!

Yeah, blisters too.... but those are ok and I can deal with those. I had a nasty one on the palm of my hand once - that was tough. But I taped it up and it was ok. I still won the tournament. (Granted it was like a hundred years ago....)

i was playing at my club a couple of weeks and i was being an idiot trying to chase down every single ball. i went to lob this ball that was probably 15 feet behind the baseline, i got to it and made perfect contact, but unfortunately i also made perfect contact with the back fence at full speed. there was some wiring holding up the canvas and it had a nail like end which ended up cutting open the left hand side of my chest from front to back. i toughed it out and tried to keep playing but i had to stop once i realised the side of my shirt was drenched in blood. and people say tennis isn't a contact sport!

Abdominal strains are not good. But worst are groin strains. They are really hard to recover from. I strained mine about 5 years ago and I still don't have the mobility I used to have, and stretching it slightly brings about pain

For the past few months I have been dealing with platar fascitis and it is very SEVERE pain. Icing it every night doesn't help either!
