Sprem enters the TOP40 (#38)

amazing! just a bit over a year ago, she was floating around in the 270s and next week she will be in the top40!!

I smell a French Open seeding... (which would be ironic cause she didn't play last year because she was in the finals of strausbourg and therefore ineligible for rg qualies )

ugh, why do they all suck????????

From WTATour.com:

Karolina Sprem's leap in the rankings could get another boost after reaching her first Tier II quarterfinal. The young Croatian defeated Cara Black, 64 63 to mark her spot in the final eight. Sprem, who was ranked No.270 just 13 months ago, said she is feeling more confident with her game.

"I was very surprised to go up in the rankings so quickly, but my coach always tells me to believe in myself, and now I'm beginning to do that," Sprem said.

I figured her ranking out and then figured out what 35-42 were losing and plugged her #s in where she belonged.
