scottsdale?

why isn't scottsdale around this year? i always thought it was a very popular tournment and it always had very good players attending and espn showed too. whats the deal, why isn't going on this year, can someone help me out? thanks.

Scottsdale was canceled and moved to Doha, Quatar starting this year.

I was wondering that . Also, why did the WTA allow an event in Flushing Meadows that offers a mere 72K in prizemoney?
