How ranking works? A have a problem

Hello,
i want to understand how ranking works and so I haved looked the results of these year. There are still some results which I dont understand, p.e. the result from Lisa Raymond at the Australian Open:
Quality-Points: Sanchez(20), Barna(20), Williams(70), Golovin(2). Results 112
Round-Points: Reaching the Quater-Final: 162
Quality-Points + Round Points = Rkg-Points 274.
But Lisas result in the WTA and in the Porsche Champion Race is +336.
Where is my mistake.
Martina

your calculations, according to this website (tenniscorner.net), are correct... I don't know what's up with official (wtatour) ranking...

I think that when the WTA gave Venus her special seeding, they also mentioned that anybody who beat her would get Quality Points for beating the #3 player. At the AO, that would be 132 points.

Yes, when someone beat Venus it was like beating the No.3 ranked player in the world.
And Grand Slam Quality points are doubled.

Hello again,
Yes, if I calculate with Venus as No. 3, then my result is the same as the result in the WTA-listings. Thanks for the fast hint.
Greetings Martina

What do you think?
Works the rule "Quality Points first by seeding and then by ranking" at all tourments or only by Grand-Slams???

...um...I'm about why, if quality points are related to the ranking of the players she beat, she got the same amount of points for beating two different players...?
