The women's draw looks like the men's and the men's like the women's

While all the seeds are making it through easy to the final rounds on the men's side (will little trouble)

The seeded women are stuggling big time! Bringing some wonderful matches with them along the way!

This is true.

Rainer Schuettler has had NO difficulties; he's cutting up the draw like nobody before or since.

Most of the top male seeds are making it. Yes. I think this change is good for once in awhile.

The fact that Capriati, S.Williams and Seles aren't playing doesn't help the women's side. The women seeds are definitely weaker this year.

You know the seeds that matter.

I would think that last years finalist, number 6 in the world, "matters".

So does Coria, a top 5 player.

Or how about Mark P having his ass handed to him tonight? Does he not "matter" either?

Is it just people who disprove the stupidity of this thread - and all the others like it - that don't "matter"?

Let's just drop this tired topic already! I'm just happy we have
a new generation of players in both tours. I was so tired of Sampras
this Sampras that, the rude comments about so called clay court specialist,
which now means Jack shit because the Roland Garros reigning champs
can play on all surfaces.

Amazingly, there are still people who question Ferrero's abilities off clay. If he's not very good off clay, I'd hate to see what will happen when he has some time to adjust

Cybelle - Rainer actually lost in the first round. It was quite the upset, with 19 yo Swede Robin Solderling coming back from 2 sets to love down.

Not that ESPN bothered to share this with anybody.

Why hasn't anybody said anything about Roddick's lack of finesse
on clay or indoor surfaces?

This time "The women's draw looks like the men's!" But one difference at Gold Coast/Canberra the finalists were the first two seeds, that's still the difference to men's tennis. In men's tennis we've had unseeded players who reached the final, this year. Don't know how many times so far this year.

People on messageboards say it all the time. The American media doesn't comment because they are extremely ignorant and biased towards claycourt tennis, or anything else that Roddick happens to not be very good at.

1) He doesn't.

2) Ditto.

3) He doesn't matter either... ESPN just needed something to put on nights when A-Rod/A-Train weren't playing.

4) I want to be hired by ESPN.
