Venus better than Serena?

Hey everyone, I know how everyone (the announcers/commentators/tennis fans/etc.) says Serena right now or at least lately has been dominating Venus and Serena's matches. I would agree to that (no saying it won't change--for all you Venus fans!! myself included) Also, the commentators and fans always give reasons for this, Serena's serve is much better, she's more determined when they play each other cuz of the sister thing, her forehand is better, etc. Some of these points I may agree with some disagree with. Whatever, that's not my point. My point is, Venus has made their last 2 encounters close (3 sets) so there is obviously somethings that Venus does better than Serena. I just wanted people to point them out and say why. Just looking at their matchup's from Venus' point of view and what her strengths are against Serena instead of the otherway around.

Backhand. No one has a better backhand then Venus (Justine is probably very close)
Movement. Serena's probably faster, but Venus covers more ground with her big reach.
Net Play. Venus just knows the net better then Serena.

Serena has a better crosscourt forehand; serve placement.

I think Serena goes for it more too. More aggressive. Compared to Venus, who is more consistent. She doesn't need to hit the winner right away. She rallies more, I think.

tennisIlove09, I agree with a lot you just said there (just about everything.) However, can you explain that movement deal? If serena's faster how does Venus cover more ground?? Thanks for your response!!

Because Venus doesn't have to be faster. Her reach allows her to get to balls no one else would get to. Serena has to be faster because she can't reach like Venus.

Hey foot fault, just b/c you have seen a million of these doesn't mean I have. Look, I have only 126 posts and really don't visit this site that often (only during grand slams) so I don't see as much as you do. If you don't want these posted can you send me a copy of an old post just like this one so we can just get rid of mine??

What I think you mean is that Serena is quicker, in other words her acceleration is better. In terms of speed, I think Venus had the edge because she covers more distance in a shorter amount of time.

Pehaps I missed your point. Are you saying they are equal, or that Serena is the better player because of all of her wins in a row? Personally to me, all your post proves is that one can dominate for a while, but at any time it can change on a dime. I never judge their games by their results against each other. Because of their emotional ties, to me, the results of any of their matches against each other say nothing about their true ability. It's just not a contest of skills, it's rather a contest of emotions.
