Dubai SF: Kudryavtseva/Rodionova def. Hlavackova/Safarova 64 64

I think this result is so thread-worthy... what a week are these two having in Dubai... They didn't have an easy draw (well, it was a tough draw for everyone) but they managed to make the final here!!

They are SO going to Singapur... they will already pass Peng/Hsieh and Zakopalova/Niculescu in the WTA Road to the YEC...

Yeah, Vesnina/Makarova in QF and Hlavackova/Safarova now.

They are playing good

I had to say seeing Rodionova on top of anything

Though they are playing well this year

I wouldn't say they are in for Singapore for now cause they haven't done anything in big tournaments. You need to do well in the big events cause only 11 tournaments will count.

Alla is coached by former Hantuchova and Bolelli's coach, Claudio Pistolesi, who is an excellent coach. I expect her to be Top 100 in a few months, and even further then.

What a tournament! And this is why doubles matter. These 2 need the prizemoney, and it looks like they have a future

Well, hate to say Kops-Jones/Spears really only wins tournaments where there are no better teams playing

Not really, cause you don't have to count big events to qualify. If they can play well in Premier and International events, that maybe enough.

I don't know why Spears continues this partership, I think she would be better off with a better partner.

Yeah, I've seen the way they play. Good only against green paris like Stonetta or tired Sara/Roby I really didn't like the arrogance on court though Are they always like this or was it only because they've won against the best?

Yes you don't have to count big events to qualify but with only 11 limited tournaments in count it's really difficult to win just with Premiers and Internationals. Consider they win all the remaining 8 Premier events and 1 international that puts them at 4980 points... and I doubt they will win all 8.

...but Errani/Vinci weren't the best, they got dethroned and not even top 5
