So bummed for ALG and Peschke. That was an absolute dream draw to the finals.

And I can't believe Jankovic/Lucic have racked up 280 points by defeating Arina Rodionova/Rogowska. And just barely

LOL! This half draw is open wide

Grandin/Uhlirova could reach their first GS final here

Inspiration is for amateurs

Awful, Kveta was practicing when the match was meant to be on so I know she's fine, ALG was nowhere so I really hope she's ok...the draw was so open for them.

And now Kveta has to play the top seeds in mixed doubles.

It's also a shame arguably the two best teams left in the bottom half draw each other next round.

Sad for Peschke...

But let's be honest: This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for Grandin and Uhlirova!
And I don't know why but I've always had a soft spot for them...

Me too but I think Dellacqua/Barty are favourites in that match. They played very well last round and Casey was by far the best player on court in mixed even though they lost.

Not to mention that Dellacqua/Barty already beat them in Brisbane last year and Ashleigh has improved by leaps and bounds since then.

Re: AO R2: Jankovic/Lucic-Bartoni d. (9)Groenefeld/Peschke W/O

It's Baroni

The belief that man is an irresolute creature pulled this way and that by two forces of equal strength, alternately winning and losing the battle for his soul; the conviction that human life is nothing more than an uncertain struggle between heaven and hell; the faith in two opposed entities, Satan and Christ - all this was bound to engender those internal discords in which the mind, excited by the incessant fighting, stimulated as it were by the constant promises and threats, ends up by giving in and prostitutes itself to whichever of the two combatants has been more obstinate in its pursuit. Life isn't black and white, it's gold.
