Format of YEC Doubles?

Anyone else think that it is annoying that they play a No-Ad and Match Tie-break. I think it doesn't really separate the good from better teams. It's like a huge disrespect to the teams that qualified.

Re: Format of YEC Doubles?

I have mixed feelings. The Slams and Olympics are the only events that don't have this format, it is what helps to make them that much grander and tougher to win. But the YEC is another big event, it shouldn't be pushed down to such a quick format. At the same time, outside of the slams and Olympics (which don't even count towards YEC), the tour has this format, so it is fitting since they spend the vast majority of their time playing this style.

I think it should be played full out. It's the 5th biggest event by points, and not only do you need to win only 2 matches, but it is the shortened scoring.
