Tokyo Final: Kops-Jones/Spears def. (4) Groenefeld/Peschke 6-1 6-4

Abi/Rocky

def. Husarova/Voskoboeva 7-6(4) 6-3
def. (3) Srebotnik/Zheng 6-3 6-2
def. Lisicki/Raymond 6-4 6-3
def. (4) Groenefeld/Peschke 6-1 6-4

Won a Premier 5 title without losing a set

3rd title of the season and puts them 108 points behind Kirilenko/Petrova. I hope they tournament whore their way for the rest of the season into the YEC

Kveta/ALG 7 Double faults in total (5 came off ALG's racquet).. Were trailing the whole match and then finally broke for 4-4 in the second set. Had two GPs to go up 5-4 but fucked it up
Anyway... Good tournament for both teams!

Sooo proud of Abi and Rocky! There is a really nice article up at WtaTennis.com about their victory. I really think they have a shot at YEC if they can keep up their amazing form going into Beijing & Osaka

Kveta/ALG But still an amazing week in only their first tourney as a team I look forward to what seems to be a very winning partnership

I think it's pretty much implied they're playing every week until Istanbul now

I like Abi and Raquel, but really, the pair at the YEC would be too much. They are not elite players.

They're not elite players until they actually become elite players, just look at Errani

()

The belief that man is an irresolute creature pulled this way and that by two forces of equal strength, alternately winning and losing the battle for his soul; the conviction that human life is nothing more than an uncertain struggle between heaven and hell; the faith in two opposed entities, Satan and Christ - all this was bound to engender those internal discords in which the mind, excited by the incessant fighting, stimulated as it were by the constant promises and threats, ends up by giving in and prostitutes itself to whichever of the two combatants has been more obstinate in its pursuit. Life isn't black and white, it's gold.

I love both these teams. Actually, I am a big fan of all four semi-finalist teams!

ALG / Petko / SeRena /
JaJa / TaTo

LaraM / Cucumber / B

This.
They're doubles journeywomen, not YEC material.

Women doubles is on life support if these two make it to Istanbul.
