NO Ad Scoring?

The match being played tonight doesn't have ad scoring? Does someone know why?

I knew about the third set 10 point TB, but had no idea about No-Ad scoring. I'm appalled

Re: NO Ad Scoring?

ooooooook, yea sorry people, I had no idea. Coupled with the fact that the announcer for the tournament said something which implied it was a new rule. That's very strange, at least it doesn't apply to the grand slams...yes :S

Actually, they do it for mixed doubles everywhere but Wimbledon. On the deciding point, you serve to the same gender on the other side (the man serves to the man, the woman serves to the woman).

"He who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor from the Lord." -- Proverbs 18:22

"Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard." -- Herb Brooks

"A man who views the world the same at 50 as he did at 20 has wasted 30 years of his life." -- Muhammad Ali

I didn't know about this last bit.
And sadly until the top singles players take doubles again and raise back public interest, which is extremely unlikely, these two (No-ad and STB) horrific rules won't change.
